"Telehealth and virtual visits, education, and follow-up have rapidly become a lot more accepted and I for one have embraced it and made it a complete part of my practice […] And now insurance companies have realized the value of telehealth, both from a phone call and also a virtual visit, so it’s really here to stay.”

“Being an aspiring plastic and reconstructive surgeon, rotating virtually was an amazing experience. [My preceptor] was always available to answer questions, share his experiences, and engage with us in clinical case-based group discussions. He is also a great mentor and supporter. I'm definitely more confident with my knowledge in plastic surgery now!”

“During a global pandemic, having telemedicine rotations is extremely helpful for students who were unable to get in-person electives for any reason. This small-group rotation helped students by engaging them in clinical skills discussions with active feedback, without the difficulties experienced during in-person electives that may cause students to feel unwelcome or unneeded. Though the time given per day was short, it was an effective and productive use of time.”
