Jose rotated with us in 2018 and is now on the journey to securing U.S. medical residency. As a medical graduate in Mexico, he is preparing for the USMLE. Once accepted into a program, he will be one step closer to earning the title of internist.
"I ended up learning a lot more about medicine outside the office. Clinical rotations are very important considering we're used to studying or answering exams and may forget the most basic stuff, which is what you usually see out there. Also, as an international student, it's always important to know how medicine is practiced in the US."
