What to expect:

Visitors will work with a cardiologist based in McKinney, Texas. Through this rotation experience, visitors will learn about the medical specialty of cardiology as it is concerned with diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases of the cardiovascular system, which includes the heart and the blood vessels.

This clinical experience will provide exposure to skills such as the recording of medical history and the performance of physical exams as they relate to cardiovascular diseases. Visitors will become familiar with interpreting echocardiograms in addition to evaluating chest x-rays and diagnostic reports.

In addition to the learning and skills that visitors obtain during a cardiology rotation, individuals who choose to participate in the subspecialty rotation of advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology will follow a more specialized curriculum geared towards patients with heart issues that are difficult to control, and those who have devices in place and may require multiple treatments and surgeries. Visitors will become familiar with biopsies, diagnostic right heart catheterizations, LVADs, and post-transplant inpatient services. Clinical activities may include implantable device procedures, echocardiograms, MSP/PFT, and autonomic testing.

AMO is a good program for IMGS looking for residency in the u.s however, I think that AMO should be more in touch with the hospitals and how they are run and provide a more detailed explanation with what we will do there.
Great program. People willing to help you. Great opportunities. Very fortunate to have such a program.
AMO was very quick to respond, resolved any issue I had. The application process is very simple and convenient. The clinical experience was a great platform to learn the American medical system.
Very helpful

Working with AMO is such a good experience to me. I have learned a lot through this rotation. Faculty of the hospital are very friendly and helped me a lot. l am really thankful to AMO to provide such an good opportunity to me.

AMO is the easiest way to get clinical experience in the US. But they need to provide more information about the program, more specific. Overall, it was a very nice experience for me. I learnt a lot from the clinical rotation.
